We have been busy making preparations
at our farmstead for the upcoming holiday season. Message us your favourite recipes on our social media and we will share it in our stories.
Food Items You May Bring for the Animals
The horses can only eat APPLES and CARROTS with the exception of our small white miniature horse Ophelia. Ophelia cannot have anything besides hay as she is sensitive to other food and it can cause her a great deal of pain in her hooves if she consumes anything else.
The chickens, turkeys and geese love LETTUCE and GREEN APPLES and PEARS. A favourite of the geese is ROMAINE LETTUCE and CELERY.
The goats and sheep and cows all enjoy CUT UP CARROTS, APPLES and PEARS as well as LETTUCE and various GREENS however they cannot bite whole apples or carrots so cutting them up works best for feeding them.
We gladly accept PUMPKIN donations as everyone enjoys eating pumpkin and we appreciate donations of EVERGREEN BOUGHS of CEDAR, SPRUCE and PINE for the cows, sheep and goats.
Be sure NOT to bring any YEW, PRIVET or HEMLOCK as they are toxic to horses.
Please DO NOT bring MEAT or DAIRY or CORN ON THE COB for the animals.
