ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RISK ACCEPTANCE OF RESPONSIBILITY & RELEASE OF LIABILITY
I hereby acknowledge that I have voluntarily applied to engage in an activity of a farm visit which includes the petting and feeding of animals at Grindstone Creek Farm.
I understand that the activity of petting and feeding of animals involves numerous inherent risks of injury that are an integral part of such activity. I assume full responsibility for all such risks, including loss of control, collisions, and obstacles whether they be obvious or not obvious.
I and/or my family further understand that an animal, irrespective of its training and usual past behaviour and characteristics, may act or react unexpectedly at times, and I also assume such risks.
I understand that I may encounter variations in terrain, which may result in injury or damages. I acknowledge that these are my responsibility, and I assume the risk of these hazards, including breaks, growth, debris, rocks, cliffs, and other hazardous surface or subsurface conditions and obstacles, whether they are obvious or not obvious, man-made or natural.
I understand that animals are unpredictable and the risk of injury is inherent to the activity.
I understand that animals may bite, scratch, kick or jump up on people in this activity.
I agree to assume all risks of injury caused by the animals at Grindstone Creek Farm, whatever the cause, and as consideration for being permitted to engage in a visit with the animals at Grindstone Creek Farm, I do hereby waive any claim, and release all of the animal owners, officers, member, affiliated organizations, landowners, agents, employees, and/or volunteers for any injury or death caused by or resulting from my participation in the activity of a farm visit at Grindstone Creek Farm.
This contract shall be legally binding upon my heirs, my estate, my assigns, my legal guardians, my personal representatives, and myself.
I have carefully read this agreement and fully understand the contents.
I am aware that I am releasing certain legal rights that I otherwise may have, and I enter into this contract on behalf of myself and/or my family of my own free will.
